As a birth doula in Colorado my goal is simple, to serve you and your partner as you travel on your unique path through birth. I truly believe that birth isn’t about IF your body is capable of bringing your child into the world, but rather it’s about surrounding yourself with people who will encourage and support you AS you bring your child into the world. God created me to be an encourager and I truly believe that working as a doula is just a natural extension of who I was already made to be.
My desire is to create an environment of unyielding support for you and your family. Whether this is your first birth experience or your eleventh I offer you a support system that encompasses emotional, informational, physical, advocational, and spousal support.
Ultimately, my goal is to use this five limb support system to equip you as best as I can so that you can have the birth experience you desire.
Informational Support and Advocacy
Knowledge is power and I will do my best to provide you with evidence based information so that you are equipped to make informed decisions with confidence. As a birth doula in Colorado, my goal is to empower you to advocate for yourself in the birth space, creating space when necessary, so that you feel heard and respected while navigating your options.
Emotional Support
You will have my unwavering and comforting presence throughout our time together. Consistently offering reassurance and encouragement, showing care and empathy, and helping you and your partner stay grounded as your move through the emotional intensity of pregnancy and birth.
Physical Support
Additionally, as a prenatal yoga instructor and Certified Body Ready Method Pro, I can assist you throughout pregnancy and labor to prepare your body to be an optimal envirionment for your baby to do everything necessary to come into the world. I will give you specific movements, designed for your unique body and movement patterns, to prepare your body for birth. While also guiding you through positions during labor for optimal labor progression.
Spousal Support
My favorite thing about being a birth doula in Colorado is witnessing the unparalleled intimacy between a husband and his wife as she brings their child into the world. My goal is to protect that intimacy by equipping your partner to be your very best support. At the end of the day if you look to your partner and say, “You were amazing, I couldn’t have done this without you.” then I know I have done my job well.
Birth Support Options
Guided Birth Package:
- Compassionate and encouraging support of the decisions you make throughout your pregnancy and birth.
- Two in-home prenatal visits, typically lasting 3 hours each.
- Gifted rebozo for you to keep.
- Rentable TENS Unit for labor, plus education on how to use it.
- Virtual labor and birth support via phone once labor begins.
- One in-home postpartum visit.
Fee: $1500.00
Full Presence BiRTH PACKAGE:
Everything from Guided Birth Support PLUS
- On-call service, beginning at 36 weeks, until your baby has arrived.
- Continuous, hands-on, in-person support for your labor and birth.
- Photos and videos of your labor and birth, should you desire.
- Two hours of support immediately following the arrival of your baby.
