Yoga Classes

whole spirit riverdale

As a yoga instructor, teaching yoga classes in Colorado, my philosophy is simple.  Your body, shape, and size should never inhibit you from growing and experiencing a whole body, mind, and spirit connection. Anybody can find a routine that is fun, engaging, and helps you become aware of who you are inside and out.

For me, yoga isn’t about how you look on the outside, or even how many advanced poses you can do, it’s about connecting your body to your mind, gaining a deep awareness of who you truly are, and enjoying the body that was specifically designed for you. My goal is to guide you through a unique practice and ultimately help you to shape your body, renew your mind, and nourish your spirit.

We offer a variety of yoga classes in Colorado to meet your every desire. From a gentle flow or prenatal yoga class, to a dynamic Yoga Trapeze class with reindeer, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking to relax and unwind, build strength and endurance, or explore new techniques and styles, our diverse range of classes has you covered.

Join us on the mat, or in the air, and discover the transformative power of yoga for yourself. I look forward to embarking on this journey together, celebrating who you truly are inside and out.

Yoga Trapeze

The Yoga Trapeze is a natural form of inversion therapy that includes a full body workout that can reduce chronic low back pain, help you build strength, lengthen your spine, and all the while increase your range of motion.  Through a series of yoga postures and breath-work, my students will not only find connection with their body and mind, but with their soul as well.

Yoga Trapeze & Reindeer

Yoga Trapeze Classes with Riverdale Reindeer are designed to give you the most unique yoga experience in Colorado.  Your group will learn the practice of the Yoga Trapeze surrounded by our herd of family raised reindeer.  Once your practice is complete you and your group will then have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the reindeer as you feed them!

Prenatal Yoga

A heart-centered practice specifically designed to help expectant mothers find mindfulness, flexibility, and strength in postures and movements that are safe for both them and their growing baby. It is a gentle practice that will help to nurture the growth of healthy babies while caring for the bodies of expecting mothers.

Yoga Classes by Candlelight

Candlelight yoga classes are available to groups of 4 or more on Monday and Wednesday evenings during May, June, and July.  These classes are practiced outdoors during sunset and purposefully designed to be gentle and breathe focused.  Your group will practice surrounded by glowing candles and the acoustics of nature moving you from the bustle of the day into the stillness of the night.

We use battery operated candles for this class so there is no need to worry about fires or burns. *

Frequently asked questions:

Do I need to have experience to attend?

Absolutely not! All of my yoga classes are designed to be accessible to any person no matter their previous yoga experience or capabilities.

Is yoga difficult?

All forms of yoga have their inherent difficulties.  However, I do my very best to understand each student as best as I am able so that I can cultivate and design a class that works well for every body.  So, while I cannot promise that your practice will be easy, I can promise that we can make adjustments all along the way that fit your needs and goals!

Is yoga safe?

While any new activity has some form of risk, I can assure you that yoga is very safe. However, if you’ve recently had any kind of major surgery, injury, or have an ongoing health condition,  you should definitely consult with your doctor before coming to your first yoga class. As I am not a physician I cannot tell you whether or not practicing yoga is safe for your specific condition.

I am pregnant, can I join a yoga class?

It is always best to consult your medical care provider before engaging in any activity you have not done before.  However, as a certified Prenatal Yoga teacher I can guide you through a number of postures and breathing techniques that are safe for both you and your growing baby during your my prenatal yoga classes.

Is there anything I should know about reindeer yoga before attending?

There is a high likelihood that you one, or multiple, reindeer will poop or pee near you during our class.  While we will spend nearly every moment in the Trapeze rig, and away from the aforementioned poop and pee we also do our very best to keep the practice environment as clean as we can and have wipes, brooms, and cleaner outside during your yoga classes with the reindeer.

Our reindeer will, most likely, be in their active stage of growing antler (velvet) meaning that it would hurt them to have you touch their antlers and therefore won’t be touching you with them as much as they can help it.  However, because of that, we have a very strict “no touching” policy when it comes to their antlers.
